A judge from the Amanat Al-Asimah West Court was injured on Thursday, May 29, 2025, by gunfire in the capital, Sanaa.

News sources reported that Judge Muhammad Abdullah Al-Khayal was shot in the back while on a street in the capital, by an armed man whose identity was later identified, but that he fled to an unknown destination.

The sources explained that the authorities arrested the father and brother of the attacker, even though they were not involved in the crime, stressing that the injured judge requested their release, because they had nothing to do with the incident.
